Carlsberg Too Chose IKO for the Roofs of the Shumensko Beer Brewery

For many years, the world-famous beer producer Carlsberg has been choosing IKO materials for its buildings and facilities, relying on solid membranes with a high life expectancy.

Carlsberg Breweries are carrying out a large-scale renovation of the Shumensko Beer Brewery buildings. The roofs that are being re-built will be prepared for the installation of photovoltaic systems.

The demanding selection of technology and qualities led to the choice of the IKO Carrara waterproofing system - membranes from the IKO’s Energy Roofs Series.

Deliveries began with the first 2500 sq.m. of IKO Carrara membranes, which are specially engineered for roof photovoltaic parks with long life, strength, fire resistance and possess a unique titanium dioxide coating for a really high sunlight reflection index, increasing the energy yield.

The membranes of the IKO Carrara Series have a high-tech composition and structure, further providing a remarkable increase in the yield of photovoltaic modules through a serious effect of reduced heating and temperature of the energy roof areas, which further increases the efficiency of the photovoltaic park over the years.
