IKO Roof for Platinum Hotel & Casino in Bansko
Platinum Hotel & Casino is a remarkable complex in the resort of Bansko – with an excellent location in the Gramadeto area, close to the first station of the gondola lift and in a quiet part of Bansko. The hotel combines opportunities for a ski holiday, relaxation, a casino, restaurants, bars, and a wellness area, while its overall concept is focused on comfort, elegance, and a fulfilling stay in one of Bulgaria’s most popular mountain resorts.
In preparation for the harsh winter seasons, the complex is carrying out a complete renovation of its roofs with bituminous shingles, with the first deliveries of around 3,300 sq.m of IKO Armourshield Plus shingles in Dual Brown Ultra color already underway. IKO Armourshield Plus is a solution that corresponds to the reputation of one of the most recognizable hotels in Bansko and to the high requirements for roofs in a mountain environment. In such projects, the roofing system plays a key role not only in the appearance of the building, but also in its long-term protection against snow, icing, rain, strong winds, and sharp seasonal changes.
IKO Armourshield Plus are among the most proven and high-quality shingles on the Bulgarian market. They are fully self-adhesive, part of IKO’s “Shield” series, and are designed for roofs where particularly high resistance to severe weather conditions is required. IKO Armourshield Plus come with a 20-year limited warranty, with the first 10 years additionally protected by IKO’s Platinum warranty coverage, which includes full coverage of all costs – materials, labor, transport, waste disposal costs, and more.
A particularly important advantage of IKO Armourshield Plus is their resistance under extreme climatic conditions. These shingles are designed to provide excellent protection against snow, rain, icing, and winds reaching hurricane speeds of up to 220 km/h, which makes them a completely natural choice for a roof in a mountain resort such as Bansko. At the same time, they are not only a technically solid solution, but also an aesthetically accomplished one – the Ultra Brown Blended color has a pronounced mélange character, with additional dark shadowing that creates a sense of depth and volume.
The choice of IKO Armourshield Plus for the reconstruction of the roofs of Platinum Hotel & Casino Bansko demonstrates a far-sighted and technically sound approach by the contractor. Carrying out the renovation with materials of proven professional class is a solution that combines reliability, a prestigious appearance, and security under some of the most demanding climatic conditions for roofing systems.
