The commercial complex of Polygraphy JSC in Plovdiv is undertaking a thorough repair of its roofs, and will then build a photovoltaic park over them. The construction of about 12,000 sq.m. of waterproofing will be carried out with IKO materials of the latest generation. The system, which was selected very meticulously, will have a finishing layer of fully glued membrane of thermoplastic elastomer Spectraplan SG to avoid mechanical fixings and achieve a smooth surface for the photovoltaics. The need to provide a roof that ensures the safe and smooth operation of the photovoltaic installation for a maximum number of years was taken into account, and Spectraplan membranes were chosen for their exceptional longevity, durability and elasticity. In addition, Spectraplan SG has noteworthy qualities of sunlight reflection, resulting in enhanced productivity of the photovoltaics. Specially designed for energy roofs, the membrane has unique properties of ease of maintenance, fire resistance of the highest class, very high chemical resistance, as well as properties that lower the temperatures on the roof, which once again significantly increases the yield from the photovoltaic park.
