The leader in the production of jams in Bulgaria CIMA, a company that exports to 38 countries, chose the bitumen waterproofing materials with the IKO brand for the thorough renovation of the roofs of their buildings. The existing roofing system, whose performance and life were exhausted, was in severe condition. The waterproofing and its substrate were saturated with a significant amount of moisture. This demanded the choice of a high-tech vapor diffusion waterproofing system, which allows the removal of residual moisture from the existing layers and base. The selected IKO membranes are IKOgum 4500 T/F, which will be used for reinforcing layers and IKO Powergum Quadra AD, which is going to be the main waterproofing membrane. This latest generation product has special high-performance diagonal channels along its lower surface, which are surrounded by highly adhesive areas for perfect partial torch welding to the base. The resulting structure of this modern roofing system provides excellent waterproofing in combination with constant evacuation of vapor from the entire roof area.
