The Medical Giant Ottobock Also Chose IKO for the Roof of Its Plant in Bulgaria

The German med-tech corporation Ottobock, whose Bulgarian subsidiary is the flagship producer of orthopedic components in South-Eastern Europe, has completed a project for the full refurbishment of its roofing assets. Not compromising on quality and durability, the management team selected a multi-layer, bituminous, vapor-diffusion “floating” system from IKO, supplied by Armormat, in order to extract maximum ESG value from what had previously been a purely passive structure.

The project - part of Ottobock’s global modernization program - specified a selection of IKO materials: IKO Base 460P60 EU as mechanically fastened base layer, IKO Gum 4500 T/F as reinforcing layer, and IKO Gum 5000 AD/F applied with full torch-on welding as the final protective course. The total quantity of waterproofing membranes delivered amounts to approximately 6 000 sq.m.
