Nove Homes Too Builds With IKO Materials Its Remarkable Residential Complex in Sofia

A newest generation high-tech roof system of IKO will "crown" one of the most prestigious multifunctional residential complexes in the country - Nove Homes. Situated in an approximately 28.000 sq. m. plot, this ambitious project has an exceptional architecture and infrastructure with over 56.000 sq. m. total gross floor area. Fourteen separate residential buildings, green park areas, alley network and playgrounds with an area over 20.000 sq. m. are being built for the complex, situated in Sofia’s Krasno Selo area.

The ambition of the investors of the project for the highest quality and safety, as well as the serious requirements, led to the choice of a remarkable roofing solution, which is a combined waterproofing system and a system for vapor diffusion. The finishing layer is IKO Carbon, distinguished for its highest class of fire behavior BRoof (t1, t2, t3 and t4), which utilizes a turbo profile on the lower surface for maximum adhesion and mineral protection of graphite black colored granules. The membrane possesses remarkable tensile strength, provided by a tri-laminated, structurally reinforced, fiberglass and polyester combo inlay. The selected first layer of the system was IKObase Quadra. Again, an innovative product that possesses a special channel structure on its lower surface, surrounded by highly adhesive SBS sections, but with the main body of the membrane constructed from an APP modified bitumen for thermal stability of the channels, guaranteeing optimum vapor diffusion and exceptional life of the whole system.

The total volume of the membranes for the complex exceeds 60.000 sq. m., and the construction of the roofs of the project is already in development.
